Alex announces departure from Midnight North

From Alex:

“Six years ago, I received a phone call that would change my life. I was encouraged to make the move back to San Francisco and join Midnight North as their fifth member playing guitar and singing. I embarked on a remarkable journey that took several turns, most notable being that I eventually became the full time keyboardist in the band, having learned Hammond and piano practically on stage. I’ve visited 47 states and performed in 33 of them. We recorded two studio albums together, two live albums, a few singles, and made countless board tapes. I played with my heroes, made many new friends, and met and made fans across the country who have made the whole experience worth it. But my time with the band has ended abruptly and unexpectedly. Not every path is easy and not every story is a fairy tale. Had I known the fall tour was my last, I would have given more hugs, spent more time catching up with friends and fans, taken more pictures, and just generally set aside more time to take the experience in. Thanks to everyone that made the last six years so memorable. I’m hardly done making music- I have a record coming out, I’ve got the Alex Jordan Band booking shows for 2020, and I’m rehearsing with a new band. But my voice and my keyboards (and occasional guitar and kazoo playing), will no longer be a part of Midnight North. So now, at 30, I embark on the next journey.

Give me a car and an open road, a song to sing and a place to go. Give me my dreams and give me my past. Give me a way to make the good times last.”
